OUR STORY

Rosemurgy Properties began with a single purchase by founder James M. Rosemurgy (“Jim”) in the winter of 1977, with a mid-rise apartment complex in Pompano Beach, Florida. Using the expansion and platform provided through his leadership of Campbell and Rosemurgy Real Estate and Campbell Property Management, based in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Jim amassed a portfolio of multi-family product in South Palm Beach and North Broward Counties. The objective was to build a company based on integrity, that treated it employees like family, and was true to its customers.

The South Florida market provided numerous opportunities for development and acquisition in the 1980′s and 1990′s. Jim shifted his focus to various commercial real estate projects, including self-storage and office, while continuing to expand in the multi-family sector. Headlined by the 10-year development of the Innovation Centre at Florida Atlantic R & D Park from 1998 to 2008, Rosemurgy Properties began to grow exponentially with this first major real estate development project. The award-winning project encompassed 70 acres and eight buildings, and was one of the few university research parks of its kind at the time. The project was sold in 2008 for $98 million. The Company then expanded into the retail sector through continued development and acquisition opportunities.

Jim’s strategy to build a diversified portfolio has been a key factor in the tremendous growth, success, and stability of the Company. Consisting of a diverse platform that includes construction, asset, and property management, the company is continuing to build upon the legacy which Jim has passed onto the next generation. Through valued strategic partnerships, Rosemurgy Properties has been fortunate to see continued growth most recently highlighted by its joint venture development and sale of the Boca Raton student housing portfolio in 2016 for $105.5 million. Experienced executives, professional staff, construction and property management teams are committed to providing outstanding service and quality for the company’s investors, tenants and residents.
